Ipswich market is to operate every day in the last week of trading before Christmas.
Stall holders will be in the town centre every day until Christmas – including this Sunday (December 17) and Christmas Eve.
It will be a brief festive break for stall holders as they will be back on Wednesday 27 and then every day until Saturday, December 30.
Market traders and retailers are hoping for a bumper week as there is a full week for people to buy their last-minute presents and Christmas provisions before the big day itself.
The market is always popular at Christmas – and its landlord Ipswich council sees it as a vital element in drawing shoppers into the town centre to do their last-minute shopping.
Next month the stalls will be moving to their new temporary home between the Town Hall and Giles Circus, extending into the top of Queen Street as preparations start for the redevelopment of the Cornhill.
