WE'VE made her dreams come true.

Thanks to The Evening Star, ten-year-old Lucy Neill is today preparing for the night of her life after winning tickets to see her favourite band McFly.

Described by her mum Lilla as a huge fan, it was mum who entered The Star's competition to win the front row tickets.

Mrs Neill said: “When I told her she screamed and collapsed. She got up and collapsed again. She just couldn't believe it. She told her friend and there was more screaming.

“Her bedroom wall is covered in McFly posters. She is such a massive fan. She loves them but she never been to a concert before”

Delighted mum, Mrs Neill, 44, said she saw her first concert, also at the regent, when she was a similar age.

“I was about 11 when I went to see the Bay City Rollers so history is repeating itself.”

Lucy, of Wentworth Close, Hadleigh, will watch McFly on October 15, two days after her 11th birthday.

Mrs Neill said: “Lucy has got all their CDs and knows all their songs. It was great to tell her she would be going. It was a lovely surprise for us.”

The band are regular visitors to the town and have built up a loyal fan base - even performing two free concerts at the Regent in 2005 after their original show in Christchurch Park had to be cancelled.
