Over 18 years ago, Ipswich Town were promoted back to the Premier League and a great party was had.
Thousands of Blues fans took over the Cornhill to celebrate with their heroes as the players and staff arrived on an open top bus with the play-off trophy. After years of play-off heartbreak Ipswich Town beat Barnsley 4-2 at Wembley to be back in the big-time, thanks to goals from Tony Mowbray, Richard Naylor, Marcus Stewart, and Martijn Reuser.
Fans paraded the centre of Ipswich to welcome home their heroes after five years in second tier of English football.
The players made their way to the town hall to celebrate their success on the balcony above a sea of blue and white.
