MESSAGES of support have flooded in for a 12-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a collision with a car.

Holywells High School pupil Bradley Orton is in a stable condition at Addenbrooke's Hospital following the crash on Saturday evening.

Medics say his health is gradually improving.

Bradley was on his bike when he was in collision with a Peugoet 206 GTI at about 7.25pm in Landseer Road, close to the junction with Wynterton Close.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital and then transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridgeshire.

A number of readers have since posted messages on The Evening Star website.

Daniel Baker, of Nightingale Road, Ipswich, wrote: “Get well soon and keep fighting.

“All our thoughts are with you and the family.”

Judith Crisp wrote: “To the family, my family and I wish you all the luck in the world.

“We attended a function across the road on Saturday evening and saw the road block and my heart went out to you all then.”

Lisa Clarke wrote: “Get well soon, Bradley.”

Julie Smith added: “We don't know what to say. This shouldn't have happened to you.

“We are all willing you to get better, sweetie. Our thoughts are with you and your family - be really, really strong.”
