ONE of the world's largest military air shows has been scrapped for the second time in four years.

The hugely popular Mildenhall Air Fete - which attracted record crowds of more than half a million people last year - is usually a business bonanza for pubs, restaurants, hotels and impromptu campsites across the area.

But the war on terrorism has stretched U.S. resources and its airforce arsenal to the maximum forcing USAF bosses at RAF Mildenhall to cancel plans for this year's May show.
