POLICE have today confirmed the body of a woman found in a car in Southend is believed to be that of missing mother Inga Losiene.

The grim discovery was made in a car boot in Riviera Drive, Southend, Essex at about 10.30pm.

Essex police said a formal identification of the body is yet to take place and may take some time.

The cause of death of the 32-year-old has not been released by police for operational reasons but a spokeswoman for the force said it was "without a doubt" a murder inquiry.

Police are still keen to hear from anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ms Losiene's partner Farik Farukh.

Mr Farukh, also 32, has not been seen since May 27 and is known to have links to the Iraqi-Kurd community in Ipswich.
