FRIENDS of missing teenager Natasha Coombs today told how they feared the worst after a body was found near to where she went missing.
Her peers talked via the internet social networking site Bebo.
Lisay A said: “I believe it is safe to assume it is Natasha that they have found. Nobody else in the area has been reported missing and the proximity is just too much of a coincidence.
“I would just like to say that my heart goes out to her family and friends, especially mum, dad, grandparents and Josh.”
Another message, from Leanne, said: “I really hope that body isn't hers. Hoping and praying.”
Cat posted: “R.I.P Tasha. I'm so sorry to hear what has been said on the news. Your family, friends and boyfriend are going to miss you so much and there love is always going to be with you in their heart. God bless.”
A body, yet to be identified, was found yesterday in undergrowth next to the track near Manningtree station.
Natasha, 17, went missing after boarding a late night train from Ipswich on July 27.
