A PRISONER on the run from Suffolk's Hollesley Bay prison is one of the country's most prolific burglars, police said today.
Mark Wrest, 43, went missing from the open prison on Monday. He was serving a five-year term for burglary and it is believed he had been responsible for burgling thousands of homes.
Suffolk police have appealed for anyone with information about Wrest's whereabouts to call them on 01473 613500.
Wrest is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with mousy coloured hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him but call 999 immediately.
