Moped rider out of intensive care

A TEENAGER who was seriously injured in an horrific crash in Ipswich is out of intensive care today.Sixteen-year-old Kyle Knights, brother of former Ipswich Town player Darryl, was injured when his moped and that of another teenager were in collision with a Ford Mondeo in Anglesea Road, Ipswich, at around 6pm on Tuesday, August 21.

Sixteen-year-old Kyle Knights, brother of former Ipswich Town player Darryl, was injured when his moped and that of another teenager were in collision with a Ford Mondeo in Anglesea Road, Ipswich, at around 6pm on Tuesday, August 21.

After being taken to Ipswich Hospital, the Chantry High School pupil from the Pinebrook area of Ipswich was moved to Addenbrooke's Hospital where his condition was initially described as critical.

However he has now been moved from intensive care and is responding slowly to treatment, according to Suffolk police.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the crash on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed to return to Ipswich police station on October 2.
