A new music festival in Ipswich inspired by Martlesham’s Music on the Green and Kesgrave Music Festival is hoping to attract up to 4,000 people for its inaugural event this year.
Suffolk Sounds takes place at Trinity Park on Saturday, September 2 from noon, and will feature a bulging line-up of local bands to be announced soon.
Now, organisers have added details of other attractions on the day, including a funfair, activities for families, classic cars display and street food.
The day will also be raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Chris Bones, chairman, said: “We are so thrilled to have a new music day back in the Ipswich area. Our aim is to become firmly established on the East Anglian music scene and will pride ourselves in being one of the few events to encourage local youth bands; giving them the opportunity to perform alongside more established acts, using professional sound equipment and engineers.”
