FIREFIGHTERS were called to two car fires in Ipswich today.

A crew was sent to Ellenbrook Road to put out one of the vehicles shortly after 3am, while another crew went to Landseer Park just before 5.10am to tackle another car fire.

Elsewhere, firefighters were called to a play apparatus blaze in Chesterton Close, Ipswich, just before 5.15am.

Crews were also sent to a car fire in Woodrush Road at 8.08pm yesterday and a shed fire in Burrell Road just after 8.55pm yesterday.

Firefighters also put out a gorse fire which affected 100metres of Rushmere Heath at 9.05pm.
