US carrier American Airlines today announced it is to double the number of flights between Stansted airport and New York - before its first plane has taken off!The company is due to start daily flights in October, and today announced that from April next year there will be two flights a day from the Essex airport to JFK.

The company is due to start daily flights in October, and today announced that from April next year there will be two flights a day from the Essex airport to JFK.
The flights will use Boeing 767 aircraft with 221 economy and business-class seats.
