SNOW was still falling on the Felixstowe peninsula this afternoon - with conditions worsening all the time.
From lunchtime onwards there was steady snow, with about half an inch falling in 90 minutes.
Some offices were sending staff home early because of worries over travel, and some small shops closed early.
Traffic was flowing easily through the town centre, but High Road East and West and untreated side roads were very slippery with compacted ice.
