ARCHANT Life, the county magazine subsidiary of national media group Archant, which includes The Evening Star, has added three more titles to its fast-growing portfolio.

Kent Life, Surrey Life and Berkshire County Life have been purchased from the Maidstone-based magazine publisher Datateam Publishing Ltd.

"Coming hard on the heels of our purchase of titles in Sussex and Hampshire, this consolidates our position in the south of England and is an important move towards our goal of having county magazines in all the country's best counties," said Archant Life managing director Jonathan Hustler.

"We are also pleased to welcome into Archant six members of staff who currently work on these titles which will be managed within Archant Life's southern division and come under the responsibility of Kim Hartley, our Worthing based regional director."

Kent Life and Surrey Life have both been published for more than 30 years and Berkshire Life was launched earlier this year. The staff working on the titles will be based at local offices in Maidstone and Leatherhead.

Archant's county magazine portfolio now extends to 14 titles, from Kent to Lancashire, selling more than 100,000 copies each month.
