Dozens of parents of children at Morland Primary School in Ipswich came together to raise cash for Macmillan as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning celebrations on Friday.
Around 50 parents and families baked a range of cakes which were sold at the event. The rest were given out to children later in the day.
They raised nearly £100 from the initial morning sales, and hope to collect more from those sold in the afternoon.
Assistant headteacher Alison Warren said: “It went really well and so far we have raised £95.”
She added: “It was lovely to see everyone coming together to share their creations for such a good cause.”
People across the UK hosted coffee mornings on Friday in a bid to create the world’s biggest. They raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the support service.
