A TERRIFIED mum has today spoken of how she no longer lets her young sons go to the sweetshop alone for fear they could be abducted.
In a heartrending letter mother-of-two Jane Prentice has voiced what she claims are the fears of many parents in Felixstowe, a resort rocked by a series of six accosting incidents in less than a month.
She claims mothers are now changing their working hours for fear their children will be kidnapped in the streets and criticises police for not putting out enough patrols as promised.
Mrs Prentice, of Mill Lane, Felixstowe, calls for random spotchecks by police to rid the town of the "sick scum" targeting its children following four accostings since the start of the new school term.
Her own nine-year-old twin sons Lewis and Lawrence are now prisoners in their own home.
Tonight The Evening Star publishes Mrs Prentice's letter in which she tells of every parents' nightmare and calls on the resort to wake-up before a tragedy happens.
