A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash in Stowmarket this afternoon.

Police were called just before 4pm to reports of a crash on the Gun Cotton Way roundabout near the Tesco supermarket in the town.

The critical care team from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) and the East of England Ambulance were called to treat the motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, who suffered serious arm and leg injuries.

The man was then taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
