ESSEX: A young motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital this afternoon following a collision in Gosbecks Road, Colchester.
The incident was reported to the ambulance service at 12.15pm, and an ambulance reached the scene one minute later, with a rapid response car and the air ambulance arriving soon after.
The patient was a 21-year-old man from the local area who had suffered injuries to his left leg, including a suspected fracture.
He was treated by ambulance crews and the doctor from the air ambulance before being taken to Colchester General Hospital by land vehicle.
