Motorcyclist hurt in A14 crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital at lunchtime today after a collision with a car on the busy A14 near Felixstowe.

The crash, which happened on the eastbound carriageway at Trimley St Mary near the dock spur roundabout, blocked the road and caused long tailbacks.

The crash, which happened on the eastbound carriageway at Trimley St Mary near the dock spur roundabout, blocked the road and caused long tailbacks.

Emergency services attended the scene at 1.55pm and the biker, understood to be a man, was taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital. The car driver was said to be uninjured.

A police spokeswoman said the road was being cleared and traffic was expected to be moving smoothly again within a short time.
