Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was taken to hospital with “life-changing” injuries following a crash in Ipswich.

Witnesses to a collision involving a Suzuki motorbike and a Peugeot car at the Nacton Road and Mildmay Road junction, which took place at around 5.40pm on Saturday, are urged to come forward.

The motorcyclist – a man in his late 20s – sustained “serious life-changing but not life-threatening” injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

Details of the collision were released by police today.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the collision to call police on 101.
