A MAN is fighting for his life today after a serious accident on a Suffolk road. The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 40s, suffered severe head injuries and a broken arm in the collision which happened at about 4.50pm yesterday on the A134 at Alpheton.

The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 40s, suffered severe head injuries and a broken arm in the collision which happened at about 4.50pm yesterday on the A134 at Alpheton.

The motorcyclist was riding a red Yamaha which was involved in a collision with a blue Nissan Sunny car.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital where his condition was described as “critical”.

The road was closed with traffic diverted through Lavenham.
