Firefighters had to rescue a motorist from their Vauxhall Astra after it crashed at The Heath in Tattingstone.
Fire crews and paramedics from Ipswich were called to the scene of the accident at 10.20pm yesterday.
The vehicle had crashed into a hedge.
The man who was rescued was checked over by a paramedic but police said he did not sustain any injuries which required hospital treatment.
