Motorist trapped after crash

A MAN is recovering today after sustaining head and chest injuries in an accident in Henley.

The two-vehicle crash happened at 4.20pm yesterday on the road between Henley and Akenham.

The two-vehicle crash happened at 4.20pm yesterday on the road between Henley and Akenham.

The injured victim was trapped in his vehicle and had to be cut free by fire crews before he was taken to Ipswich Hospital.

The severity of the man's injuries are unknown, however they are not believed to be life-threatening

One other person was injured in the accident and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Three fire crews attended the crash to due to leaking petrol from the cars, a Toyota and a Daihatsu.

The road was initially blocked after the incident causing delays to rush hour traffic.

Another motorist was treated in hospital today following a single vehicle crash at Creeting St Peter.

The accident happened on the A14 just after 3am. The driver of car was trapped and had to be cut free by fire crews. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
