Muggers target young woman

MUGGERS have pounced on an 18-year-old woman in Ipswich.

The robbery happened in Ipswich at around 9.45pm last night as the woman was walking along Birkfield Drive, close to Beacon Hill school.

MUGGERS have pounced on an 18-year-old woman in Ipswich.

The robbery happened in Ipswich at around 9.45pm last night as the woman was walking along Birkfield Drive, close to Beacon Hill school.

Two men pushed her from behind, she fell to the ground and her handbag was taken from her.

The two muggers, together with a further man, were seen to run off along Birkfield Drive in the direction of the railway station.

They are described as a white man around 5ft 7 inch tall, with dark hair and who was wearing a white hat, dark jumper and white trainers.

Another man was of mixed race and wore a black bomber jacket, tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The third man who was seen to run off with the other two was white and wore white trainers.
