Murder accused proposes to partner

A NATIONAL newspaper today reported Steve Wright - the man charged with murdering Tania Nicol, Gemma Adams, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls - has proposed to his girlfriend in jail.

A NATIONAL newspaper today reported Steve Wright - the man charged with murdering Tania Nicol, Gemma Adams, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls - has proposed to his girlfriend in jail.

A tearful Wright, 48, of London Road, Ipswich, is said to have popped the question to his partner, Pamela Goodman, when she visited him in Belmarsh prison two days ago.

According to sources, she accepted immediately.

Wright is due back at Ipswich Crown Court on May 1 to face the next hearing into his case.
