Murder probe - but there's no body

THIS is the face of the man police believe has become the latest victim in a disturbing spate of Ipswich murders.It is Ian Halls, 63, of Tower Mill Road, and today detectives were continuing their hunt for his body as part of their latest murder inquiry.

His killing would be the sixth murder in the Ipswich area in a matter of weeks.

Mr Halls was reported missing nine days ago after he failed to keep in contact with his family and friends.

Although the body of the man neighbours described as living a solitary life has not yet been discovered, police believe he is dead as it is so “out of character” for him not to contact his relatives by phone or e-mail.
