A SECOND man has been arrested today in connection with the murder of Ipswich man Ian Halls.
The 56-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested in Manchester this morning by detectives investigating the murder of Ian Halls and is due to be brought to Suffolk for questioning.
The second arrest comes as police were continuing the hunt for the body of 63-year-old Mr Halls, of Tower Mill Road.
He was reported missing eight days ago after he failed to keep in contact with his family and friends.
Although the body of the man neighbours described as living a solitary life has not yet been discovered, police believe he is dead as it is so “out of character” for him not to contact his relatives by phone or e-mail.
Detectives today applied to magistrates for more time to question a 49-year-old man from Manchester who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of his murder.
