The man was arrested earlier this week and questioned over the murder of Bradley Baker, originally from Sizewell.
He has been released pending the outcome of a decision by the crown prosecution service.
Mr Baker, 31, was found unconscious with serious head injuries in the centre of Kings Lynn on Tuesday and later died in hospital from his injuries.
Three more men, aged 26, 28 and 49, who were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault had previously been released without charge.
