POLICE in Essex have today identified the woman found murdered in a river as Helen Maughan.The half-naked body of the 24-year-old from Propelair Way, Colchester, was spotted by a member of the public in the River Colne, close to Colchester town centre on Sunday morning.
POLICE in Essex have today identified the woman found murdered in a river as Helen Maughan.
The half-naked body of the 24-year-old from Propelair Way, Colchester, was spotted by a member of the public in the River Colne, close to Colchester town centre on Sunday morning.
Last night Essex Police confirmed they had arrested a 36-year-old man from the Colchester area on suspicion of murder.
He is currently being questioned by detectives.
