The collision had closed the road between Hatfield Road and Murray Park.

Nacton Road in the centre of Ipswich has now re-opened after four vehicles were involved in a collision earlier this evening.

A police spokesman said that two people, a male and a female had been taken to Ipswich Hospital but their injuries were not thought to be serious.

Recovery vehicles attended the scene and the road had re-opened by 9pm.
