Global chicken giant Nando’s is preparing to open its second store in Ipswich – as work begins to revamp the former Pizza Hut site it is due to move into.
Council planners approved a raft of modifications to the former Pizza Hut building in The Sandlings, Ransomes Europark, last month.
The improvements are about to get under way, with the outlet receiving a new lick of paint, internal refurbishment and external walls kitted out with Nando’s branding.
The new Nando’s restaurant will also get an extended roof, and share a car park with the Burger King drive-through next door.
Fans of the popular chain will also be pleased to hear that Nandos’ official representatives have confirmed they are due to open the new restaurant soon.
Although a firm opening date is yet to be confirmed, bosses said: “We know there are a lot of PERi-PERi fans in Ipswich and we are excited to launch our second restaurant there later in the year.”
The new store will join the Cardinal Park Nando’s and become the second to open in Ipswich.
