POP star Natasha Bedingfield has cancelled her UK tour for the second time - including a date in Ipswich, it has emerged.

The musician, whose talents have earned acclaim both sides of the Atlantic, was due to perform at the Ipswich Regent on February 28 but concertgoers were told yesterday it had been cancelled due to her US label insisting she remain in the USA to promote her album.

Natasha had originally been due to perform in Ipswich on September 23 last year but the date was put back to February due to promotional commitments in the US.

A statement on her official website said last night: “It is with the greatest of regret that Natasha Bedingfield has had to cancel her forthcoming UK tour.

“This is through no fault of Natasha herself, but due to her US Label insisting that she remains in US until further notice to promote the release of her album, Pocketful of Sunshine, there.

“All tickets for the UK tour will be reimbursed. Please contact your ticket vendor for further details.

“Natasha is very disappointed to be missing the opportunity to perform live in the UK, and has insisted that she make a short trip to the UK in the Spring for a number of intimate free acoustic gigs.

“More info will follow on this from Natasha herself direct.”
