National: Moben kitchens and Dolphin Bathrooms in administration

More than 500 staff have been made redundant after the company that owns Moben kitchens and Dolphin Bathrooms went into administration today.

Manchester-based Homeform Group, which also owns Kitchens Direct, called in administrators after the company suffered “significant difficulties” as trading slumped in the economic downturn.

Administrators at Deloitte have made 557 staff redundant.

However, 627 jobs have been saved after the Sharps Bedrooms business was sold immediately after Homeform went into administration in a “pre-pack” deal.
