CAMPAIGNERS fighting to block the expansion of Stansted Airport have received a boost with an overwhelming number of local authorities joining together to recommend another location.
More than 70 local authorities have now backed the building of a new London airport not in Stansted, but instead in the Thames estuary.
The proposed four-runway airport at Cliffe in north Kent is one of the airport expansion options the Government is already considering.
