British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for new information about the incident at the Thorpe Lane level crossing in June.

A car was struck by a train at Thorpe Lane level crossing Shortly after 11am on June 9.

The occupants of the vehicle, a man and a child were taken to hospital for assessment but were later discharged.

A spokesman for BTP said: “Today, officers investigating this collision are appealing for fresh witnesses to get in touch.

“In particular, they are looking to speak with a cyclist seen near to the level crossing at the time of the impact.

“Likewise, anyone who saw a grey Peugeot 307 outside the Hand in Hand public house in Trimley St Martin shortly before the collision should get in touch.”
