The store, at Anglia Retail Park, is set to open its doors to the public for the first time on Friday June 23.
A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.”
The company are currently advertising for a range of position at the store including sales assistants, floor managers and cleaners.
A spokesman for Ipswich Borough Council they welcomed the news of the new store.
He said: “This shows confidence in the local economy and is another boost for the Anglia Retail Park as well as providing new jobs.”
