New deputy chief constable announced

SUFFOLK Constabulary has announced that Jacqui Cheer will be its new deputy chief constable.Mrs Cheer joined Suffolk in July 2006 as the assistant chief constable and earlier this year was made the temporary deputy chief constable.

Mrs Cheer joined Suffolk in July 2006 as the assistant chief constable and earlier this year was made the temporary deputy chief constable.

Mrs Cheer said: “I am delighted and extremely proud to become the deputy chief constable of Suffolk Constabulary. There are challenging times ahead, but I hope I will play a lead role in developing policing in Suffolk for the future, helping to provide a first class service to its communities.”
