VISITORS to the county can now see Ipswich in style with the launch of the town's new open top bus today.

Malcolm Robson, managing director of Ipswich buses said it was aimed at anyone who wanted to know about Ipswich whether they are visitors or not.

He said: "There is a running commentary for people who are not familiar with Ipswich or for people who have lived here all their lives and don't know about certain places."

The bus leaves from the rail station and travels around the town taking in sights such as Christchurch Mansion and the Town Hall – it even goes for a trip across the Orwell Bridge.

It will be available to the public on Sundays and bank holidays from 10.30am until 3.30pm.

From Monday 22 July until September 7 it will run every day.
