The early weeks of the New Year were traditionally time for companies and organisations to plan a party for children of employees and members.

There was lots of jelly and ice cream a visit from Father Christmas who had a present for everybody.

Peter Elmy sent me this photograph taken at St Christopher’s Church Hall, Ipswich in around 1951. Peter and his brother Ken are in the photograph and Peter wonders if anybody else recognises themselves from over half a century ago?
