The 63-year old is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, since being admitted there over the weekend after reportedly suffering a stroke.
A spokeswoman for Knight Ayton Management, which represents Mrs Barnes, said today: "Carol's condition remains unchanged and she is still seriously ill."
