An Ipswich woman who has admitted careless driving and an offence of wounding will be sentenced next month.
Before Ipswich Crown Court for a plea hearing today (Friday) was Nicola Tucker, 50, of Fountains Road, Ipswich, who denied an offence of dangerous driving but pleaded guilty to a less serious charge of careless driving.
The offence was committed on November 30 last year when Tucker was driving a Nissan Pixo Acenta in Wherstead Road, Ipswich.
She also admitted an offence of inflicting grievous bodily harm on Ryan Simmonds on the same date.
Tucker denied a further charge of causing serious injury by careless driving and prosecuting counsel, Joanne Eley said the pleas to careless driving and inflicting grievous bodily harm were acceptable.
Paul Donegan, for Tucker, asked the court to consider passing a suspended prison sentence on his client.
Adjourning sentence on Tucker until the week commencing October 1 for a pre-sentence report, Judge John Devaux asked for an updated victim impact statement to be obtained from Mr Simmonds.
Tucker’s unconditional bail was renewed.
