IPSWICH killer Lewis Carroll has been refused leave to appeal against his conviction for assaulting two fellow contestants in a 'Mr and Mrs' pub quiz after a suggestion he had been cheating.

IPSWICH killer Lewis Carroll has been refused leave to appeal against his conviction for assaulting two fellow contestants in a 'Mr and Mrs' pub quiz after a suggestion he had been cheating.

Carroll, 32, formerly of Crocus Close, had been sentenced to two years in prison for the Valentine's Day attack.

Carroll, who is serving a life sentence for murdering Suffolk nightclubber Phil Hoi Phat Lui, had applied to London's Court of Appeal to get a separate conviction for assault causing actual bodily harm overturned.
