OAP dies after falling out of window

POLICE forensics officers are currently at the home of an elderly woman after she died shortly after dawn.
The woman, who was in her 90s, died near her home in Lower Road, Hundon, near Clare.
It is understood she was upstairs in her house - in which she lived alone - and fell out as she opened the window.
The police were called at 7.12 am today after the elderly woman was found with critical injuries outside her house by a member of the public.
An ambulance was called, but the woman was declared dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious at present by the police and officers are conducting enquiries to establish what has happened.
