A PENSIONER who was recovering from a triple heart bypass operation now faces even more treatment after he fell from a first floor hospital window.

Troy Conway, of Bedford, broke his back and leg and cracked his hip when he fell four days after having the heart operation at Papworth Hospital near Huntingdon.

A hospital spokeswoman said an investigation began when Mr Conway was hurt on September 17 - but she was unable to say if officials had yet established whether the window was left open or whether nurses were nearby.
