A police officer is still suspended from duty following an incident in which he falsely reported a shotgun incident in Stradbroke.The officer, who lives in the Bury St Edmunds area, originally claimed a gun had been fired in his direction after a car he was following stopped on a remote country lane in March.
A police officer is still suspended from duty following an incident in which he falsely reported a shotgun incident in Stradbroke.
The officer, who lives in the Bury St Edmunds area, originally claimed a gun had been fired in his direction after a car he was following stopped on a remote country lane in March.
He retracted his story about a week after the incident and was immediately suspended pending a disciplinary investigation.
A Suffolk police spokesman said the investigation was continuing and the officer was still suspended from duty.
