POLICE were today thought to be searching an Ipswich wildlife haven as part if the investigations into the Suffolk killings.

One witness described seeing a number of policemen with sticks fields in the Bobbits Lane area to the south west of the town.

Suffolk police said they were unable to confirm or deny if the police presence in the area was in relation to the killings.

But a spokesman for Anglian Water, which has a sewage farm and buildings in the Bobbit Lane areas, confirmed the company is helping police with their enquiries.

He told the Evening Star. “We are assisting local police with their enquiries into the killings of women in the area last year.

“Anglian Water has CCTV coverage of some of that area but it would be inappropriate to comment further as investigations are ongoing.”
