Armed officers and the police dog unit were called to a flat in Ipswich after reports that drugs and a gun were inside.
Police received a 999 called around 11.10am by someone at a property in Wellington Street.
Officers cordoned off part of the area as a precaution and spoke with individuals at the property.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokeswoman said: “The address has been searched and no weapons or drugs were located.”
No arrests were made.
