WORK is under way to clear an oil spill following a collision between a car and a lorry in Mendlesham.Emergency services were called to Old Station Road, Mendlesham, shortly before 10am today after a Citroen Xantia and a lorry collided.
A SUFFOLK road has been reopened after oil was spilt during a collision between a car and a lorry.
Emergency services were called to Old Station Road, Mendlesham, shortly before 10am today after a Citroen Xantia and a lorry collided.
A 65-year-old woman was treated for chest pains and taken to Ipswich Hospital.
The road was blocked as a result of the accident and officers from Mid Suffolk District Council were called in to help the clear the spilt oil and sand the road.
It was reopened by noon.
