Students in Ipswich are using this Valentine’s Day to reflect on what they love about their sixth form.
One is backing the ‘I love my college’ campaign set up by New Anglia Colleges, a group that aims to promote further education across the region.
A ‘sharing corner’ has been set up at One for pupils to express something positive about the sixth form, and catering staff created a selection of heart shaped cookies to celebrate the drive.
Daniel Dzregah, who is studying art and design at One, said: “The atmosphere is very relaxed and there’s more individuality here than there was at school.”
Business, psychology and English literature learner, Elina Tirele, added: “College is a fresh start and students have more freedom to express themselves.”
Admissions and marketing manager, Frances Vickerstaf, said ‘I love my college’ was a “great” initiative that helped champion the important role that sixth forms play.
