Organisers of the Saints Oktoberfest held at St Peter’s by the Waterfront in Ipswich last weekend have toasted the success of the event.

The Bavarian-themed event featured traditional German beers, street food stalls, a traditional oompah band and beer-hall style sing-alongs.

Volunteers from insurance firm LV= helped pour the pints to raise cash for chosen charity the Papworth Trust, with around £1,000 having been raised.

Greg Cooper from organisers Beer&Co. said: “Saints Oktoberfest was amazing fun, which we knew it would be, while Beer&Co. are especially happy to have been able to work with, and support the fund-raising efforts of Papworth Trust Ipswich.”

The next Beer&Co. festival will be at St Peter’s by the Waterfront on October 20 and 21, called the Saints Beer & Blues Festival.
The festival’s live music will be hosted by Stephen Foster, with more information online here.
